ABOUT JOHNNY WALTHER:
Johnny Walther has been a fixture on the Danish live music scene for over 35 years, particularly on the Baltic Sea island of Bornholm, where he lives. In the 1990s, he played in well-known local bands, and later as frontman in various successful Danish rock bands, such as Foxy, before devoting himself more fully to his solo career and beginning to give concerts internationally, including in Germany, France, Canada, Luxembourg and Sweden.
Johnny Walther’s musical roots lie more in raw blues rock, which lends his current music – a blend of Blues, Folk, Country and Americana – a particularly distinctive, earthy quality. His most significant solo release to date, the album ‘Some Day’, produced by the Copenhagen-based bassist and producer Rasmus Hecter, showcases Johnny Walther’s unmistakable voice and Andreas Borne’s prominent Dobro guitar playing. The album was given its final polish in the USA, in Nashville, the world capital of Country and Americana music.
His latest EP, ‘REBORN’, impressively demonstrates just how timeless his songs still are, even in 2026: Johnny Walther’s music is characterised by strong melodies and narrative lyrics, here wonderfully re-arranged and brought to life by the Danish music producer and remixer Redfox 64. The final mixes and mastering of the EP tracks were carried out at Ronny-Eric Studio in Spain. Four wonderful songs that are a joy to listen to and leave you wanting more!

Johnny Walther ist seit über 35 Jahren eine feste Größe in der Dänischen Live-Musik-Szene, insbesondere auf der Ostsee-Insel Bornholm, seinem Lebensmittelpunkt. In den 90ern spielte er in bekannten lokalen Bands, später als Frontmann auch in verschiedenen erfolgreichen Dänischen Rockbands, wie z.B. Foxy, bevor er sich dann verstärkt seiner Solokarriere widmete und begann, auch international Konzerte u.a. in Deutschland, Frankreich, Canada, Luxenbourg und Schweden zu geben.
Johnny Walthers musikalische Roots liegen eher im rauhen Bluesrock, was seiner heutigen Musik aus Blues, Folk, Country und Americana eine besondere markante, erdige Note verleiht. Seine bisher wichtigste Solo-Veröffentlichung, das Album ‚Some Day‘, produziert vom Kopenhagener Bassisten und Produzent Rasmus Hecter, featured Johnny Walthers unverwechselbare Stimme und das exponierte Dobro-Gitarrenspiel von Andreas Borne.
Das Album erhielt seinen letzten Schliff in den USA, in Nashville, der Welthauptstadt der Country- und Americana-Musik.
